Glow in the dark paint is a thing of the past now that we have this amazing new capability to literally paint light, and control it ourselves using a simple on/off switch. Custom metal rails for a Bunk Bed!

It's always fun to see what we're going to get in the shop. It's not always just car repairs and motorcycle paint jobs; sometimes we get some unique requests. This week we've been working on a set of metal rails, a ladder, and some other attachment pieces for what is going to be put together as a really cool Bunk Bed! These steel rails were sanded down to the pure metal, revealing a cool, custom swirl pattern. After lots of sanding, we painted a clear coat on top so all  you see is the raw steel. Light up paint on the Harley (aka Babydoll)

The first LUMILOR electroluminescent paint job to leave TD Customs, folks! This 2002 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail Classic, affectionately known as Babydoll, got a special little detail added to the fairing this week. We painted the name 'Babydoll' in the electroluminescent paint, Lumilor, so it can light up at the flick of a switch. Glitter paint job: Make it sparkle!

Our latest custom paint job involved heavy metal flake to customize a white 2015 BMW 328i - a fun glitter paint job! From far away or in the shade, the car will look white. But when you walk up to it, or especially when the sun is hitting it, the new glitter paint job looks bright and sparkly. The customer had looked online at the different options for metal flake, and found a rainbow color she liked. Keep in mind that the color of the car plays a part in how the flake will look. We got a nice visit from a wonderful customer of ours the other day. We've done a restoration on one of Pete's cars before; an Oldsmobile Cutlass 442. It was a complete ground up restoration, and one of the first that we did in this building. He's a great guy and a loyal customer, who's brought us a couple other cars and referred us to his friends and family. And every once in a while, he stops by just to say hi! The SEMA Show is a HUGE annual automotive trade show that we were very excited to attend. Anyone who's anyone in the automotive world goes to SEMA to showcase their products and latest builds. It's not open to the public, so you have to be in the industry to attend. People come from all over the world for this show. Even before we ever realistically thought about going, Tim has said he's wanted to go. Throwback to that day the shop had a squirrel

It's not every day you see a squirrel wander into an auto body shop! Thanks to the TimeHop app, I was recently reminded of our little squirrel buddy who showed up at the shop about a year ago. So in honor of #throwbackthursday (we're not much for the #hashtags, but we're trying), I thought I'd post about our lil friend.
