TD Customs was featured on FOX Carolina News 21 this week, showing the Asheville and Greenville communities what an excellent safety feature electroluminescent paint can be on a motorcycle.
There are so many motorcycle accidents simply due to drivers not seeing the bikers out there on the roads. Increasing visibility is a big concern for many motorcyclists. Lumilor is a new paint product that lets you add light to your bike as a safety feature, as well as having a totally new way to customize the look of your motorcycle.

TD Customs on WLOS Morning News!
TD Customs got some attention on Asheville's WLOS News station Tuesday morning! It was great getting to talk about our custom paint services, including the new electroluminescent paint, Lumilor, featured on our TD Customs motorcycle.
WLOS reporter, Lauren Brigman, came to the shop to check out the TD Customs motorcycle with its light up paint job, and we got to do four different live clips talking about the bike. They did the first interview at 5am, then 5:30, 6, and 6:30am. Having several live interviews over the course of the morning turned out to be really great because they were able to show the paint in different shades of light.

We recently sold our older bike, and bought this newer one - a 2004 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 from 191 Highway Motorsports. When we were looking at different bikes, we knew we wanted one with a large tank and hard bags that we could paint to really stand out. This one is bigger and more comfortable, and of course got a brand new custom paint job right away.

The El Camino has been painted!
Rebuilding Tim's El Camino has been a dream of his for awhile now. The ELCO is his daily driver, but also the car that showcases his paint and body skills. We're excited to have made the time to work on our own car, and look forward to a summer of car shows!
The paint job is completely custom, of course. Tim has been dreaming of a certain paint color for his car for a long time, but could never find just the right color. So instead, he worked with our paint specialist to custom mix his own color. He found a blue paint and added drops of violet in little by little to get just the right hint of purple.

Getting ready for summer car shows!
Summer car shows are coming up and TD Customs is getting ready to show off the El Camino and matching motorcycle! The El Camino was in a couple car shows last year with the black/ red ghost flame paint job, and got some great attention. Everyone loved the ghost flames and how you really couldn't see them until you walked right up to the car. Then you see just a subtle touch of red ghosted out flames on the hood. This year, we've restored the El Camino, changing up the paint job and putting a kick ass performance motor in it. We are excited to bring it out and show off the brand new paint! The El Camino rebuild is officially under way!
We've finally been able to make some time to get the TD Customs El Camino in for a full restoration and a new, next level custom paint job. Everything is getting overhauled. Even the motor is going to match the paint job. You don't see many motors like this one...
The first priority was to get it completely sanded down and ready for paint. This included doing the body work on some of the waves in the panels and random dings here and there. It was already pretty straight since Tim had done body work when painted it before, but there's always more that can be done to get it perfect.

There are big changes happening to the El Camino. We are talking complete restoration, from the motor to the body and paint. And let me tell you, both the motor and the finished paint work are going to blow your mind.
The current (soon to be 'old') paint job is jet black with red ghost flames on the hood. The flames are ghosted in so well that you only see them when you get right up on the car. Otherwise, the entire car looks black. It's been fun to see people walk by admiring the car, and then realize that it gets even better with the custom flames hidden in there.

We are a busy, family-owned auto body shop, and are currently looking for an experienced auto body technician to join our team. We work on everything from small collision repair jobs to classic restorations to cool, custom paint jobs.
