TD Customs on WLOS Morning News!

TD Customs got some attention on Asheville's WLOS News station Tuesday morning! It was great getting to talk about our custom paint services, including the new electroluminescent paint, Lumilor, featured on our TD Customs motorcycle. WLOS reporter, Lauren Brigman, came to the shop to check out the TD Customs motorcycle with its light up paint job, and we got to do four different live clips talking about the bike. They did the first interview at 5am, then 5:30, 6, and 6:30am. Having several live interviews over the course of the morning turned out to be really great because they were able to show the paint in different shades of light. ...

Lumilor Lit Motorcycle in Action

Electroluminescent paint turns your motorcycle into a light bulb that you can turn on and off with a switch. We wire the paint job directly to the motorcycle, which allows you to easily control when you want it to be lit. It'll increase your visibility out there on the roads, and turn heads with how cool it looks at night and in the evenings. Check out this quick video of the Lumilor lit motorcycle out at night. We definitely get a ton of attention when we take the bike out at night. Having a paint job that lights up is something so new that it turns a lot of heads, and has everyone asking questions about it and wanting to look closer. ...

The TD Customs Motorcycle

TD Customs presents our own custom painted motorcycle with blue lace effect and electroluminescent paint. The TD Customs Motorcycle We recently sold our older bike, and bought this newer one - a 2004 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 from 191 Highway Motorsports. When we were looking at different bikes, we knew we wanted one with a large tank and hard bags that we could paint to really stand out. This one is bigger and more comfortable, and of course got a brand new custom paint job right away. Our TD Customs Motorcycle is all about the paint. It is painted to match the El Camino, with the same custom mixed blue paint, and the matching lace pattern ...

Trans Am in primer. Next up; prep & paint!

We're making lots of progress on the Trans Am restoration, and it'll be ready for paint in the next week. Once we really got into the body work on this car, we realized there was more body damage than we originally thought. Sometimes the car just takes a little more work to get it perfectly straight. A paint job won't look good if the body work is not done right. Once a car is painted, it's easy to see all the little waves and imperfections, so this is really the most crucial part of the restoration and the part that takes the longest to do. Our shop has been busier than ever lately. We've taken a little longer on this restoration than we had ...

2016 Ride for Kids Bike Show

This Saturday was the 2016 Ride for Kids Bike Run & Show, hosted by Schroader's Honda of Hendersonville and the Asheville Outlets, and it was great to see so many cool looking bikes and get to show off our own! The TD Customs motorcycle was done just in time to make it to the show. It has electroluminescent paint on the tank, hard bags, and front fender that lights up through the blue and silver top coat lace paint job. We painted it to match the TD Customs El Camino, and it looks great in the sun and definitely at night while it's all lit up. Here is her daytime look... It was a beautiful day for a bike show. There were a lot of ...

Next Day Collision Repairs

Many collision repair jobs can be done with a one or two day turnaround. Since these jobs take much less time to repair than our typical restoration work, we are able to schedule them so that we can get to it right away and return it back to you as soon as possible. Why leave your car for a couple weeks? We don't believe that you should have to leave your car at the body shop for a couple weeks in order to get some minor damage repaired. When you do that, we suspect the car is likely out in the parking lot for half of that time, while in many cases,  you could still be driving it. Instead, we schedule our collision repair customers so that we will ...

The TD Customs El Camino

The El Camino has been painted! Rebuilding Tim's El Camino has been a dream of his for awhile now. The ELCO is his daily driver, but also the car that showcases his paint and body skills. We're excited to have made the time to work on our own car, and look forward to a summer of car shows! The paint job is completely custom, of course. Tim has been dreaming of a certain paint color for his car for a long time, but could never find just the right color. So instead, he worked with our paint specialist to custom mix his own color. He found a blue paint and added drops of violet in little by little to get just the right hint of purple. ...
