Mountain Motor Show ~ 4.3.17
The Mountain Motor Show was this past weekend at the WNC Ag Center, and there were a lot of awesome looking cars and trucks to be seen. It was a good time!
Cars were displayed both inside and outside, with the ones inside being judged for best in their categories, as well as Best in Show and People's Choice. There was a good variety of old classics and new modified vehicles. The car that stole the show with two awards was a '37 Studebaker.
TD Customs was there with the El Camino on display. It has our own custom blue and silver paint job, with lace print on the roof, the side sail panels and the scallops on the hood. Quite a few people ...
TD Customs Featured in Bold Life Magazine
TD Customs was featured in the March edition of Bold Life Magazine. We are excited to share our story with the Hendersonville and Asheville communities.
The article covers Tim's start in the industry and his passion for restoring cars. It discussed the collision repair and classic restoration work we do here at the shop, as well as some other interesting projects.
In the article, we talked about Tim's grandma's infamous 1939 Chrysler (Ruthy) that we are currently working on, and how important the restoration is to the family.
There was, of course, talk of our light up paint, Lumilor, that you can see on our motorcycle. TD Customs is the ...
Electric paint that lights up!
Electric paint!
The future of light is here, and it's in the paint!
Thanks to electroluminescent paint, we can now make your paint job light up on command. We connect wires from a battery source right to the paint itself. The paint is actually a complex system of about 6 different coatings that all work together to produce light when energized by power.
When you flip the switch (or press the button, or power it from your smartphone), the light from your paint job turns on. It's really that easy!
Take a look at how 'electric paint' looks in different shades of light on the TD Customs Motorcycle below.
Electric paint is still so new

The Light Up Motorcycle at Myrtle Beach Bike Week
Myrtle Beach Bike Week was a blast! TD Customs was there with our light up motorcycle to show the town what Lumilor is all about.
Myrtle Beach Bike Week: Fall 2016
Myrtle Beach Bike Week is a fun time to bring your bike and hit the town with others who share the same passion. There is a great community of motorcyclists in town during the two bike weeks they have. Plenty of bars welcome bikers and have bands throughout the night. During the day, there are also bands and vendors set up at certain bars and the Harley-Davidson of Myrtle Beach. Murrell's Inlet has a bunch of biker bars. These bars are great because they're spaced out so you can pull ...

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) - There's a new kind of paint on the market, and it's helping to raise awareness about motorcycles on the road by making the bikes more visible.
It's called Lumilor paint, and there are only four shops in the country that can apply the special paint. One is in our area.
TD Customs is owned by Tim ...

TD Customs Featured on FOX Carolina News!
TD Customs was featured on FOX Carolina News 21 this week, showing the Asheville and Greenville communities what an excellent safety feature electroluminescent paint can be on a motorcycle.
There are so many motorcycle accidents simply due to drivers not seeing the bikers out there on the roads. Increasing visibility is a big concern for many motorcyclists. Lumilor is a new paint product that lets you add light to your bike as a safety feature, as well as having a totally new way to customize the look of your motorcycle.
Reporter Sarah Danik from FOX Carolina came out to interview us on the paint and how it works. We were able to get ...
Mountaineer Antique Car Show
The Mountaineer Antique Auto Club Car Show was this past Friday and Saturday at the WNC Ag Center. They had lots of classics and modified cars out in the front grass area, a swap meet of different car parts, and the car corral in the back building, which is where we were. The car corral included some of the most impressive cars; some of which were for sale, others just on display. I must say, it was the best spot to be since it was so hot out this weekend and the building had A/C!
TD Customs was set up in the car corral area, displaying the TD Customs El Camino and the Lumilor lit motorcycle. We asked for a back corner of the indoor area so we ...
TD Customs on WLOS Morning News!
TD Customs got some attention on Asheville's WLOS News station Tuesday morning! It was great getting to talk about our custom paint services, including the new electroluminescent paint, Lumilor, featured on our TD Customs motorcycle.
WLOS reporter, Lauren Brigman, came to the shop to check out the TD Customs motorcycle with its light up paint job, and we got to do four different live clips talking about the bike. They did the first interview at 5am, then 5:30, 6, and 6:30am. Having several live interviews over the course of the morning turned out to be really great because they were able to show the paint in different shades of light.

Lumilor Lit Motorcycle in Action
Electroluminescent paint turns your motorcycle into a light bulb that you can turn on and off with a switch. We wire the paint job directly to the motorcycle, which allows you to easily control when you want it to be lit. It'll increase your visibility out there on the roads, and turn heads with how cool it looks at night and in the evenings.
Check out this quick video of the Lumilor lit motorcycle out at night.
We definitely get a ton of attention when we take the bike out at night. Having a paint job that lights up is something so new that it turns a lot of heads, and has everyone asking questions about it and wanting to look closer. ...
