Lumilor ePaint featured in Motor Trend Magazine!

ePaint is making it's debut in Motor Trend. We love seeing Lumilor paint jobs featured, especially in a magazine like Motor Trend! The article coined the electroluminescent paint, 'ePaint', for electroluminescence - it's ability to  light up through real electric power. The magazine features the 2016 Camaro Krypton that we saw at the SEMA Show, with electroluminescent Chevy bow ties cascading down the sides. This car was so cool to see in person. It was painted a 'kryptonic green' color with Lumilor just on the bow ties, so it blended in a bit and went together really well. So many people stopped and looked at the car on display, and ...

SEMA. Basically, Disneyland for Car Enthusiasts

The SEMA Show is a HUGE annual automotive trade show that we were very excited to attend. Anyone who's anyone in the automotive world goes to SEMA to showcase their products and latest builds. It's not open to the public, so you have to be in the industry to attend. People come from all over the world for this show. Even before we ever realistically thought about going, Tim has said he's wanted to go. Coincidentally, we were going to be in Las Vegas for Lumilor training around the time of the show, so we made sure to get tickets. There is so much to see at the SEMA Show. It's massive. There are four huge buildings with exhibitor booths, and a ...

Whirlwind Vegas trip!

We are home after a couple great weeks in Las Vegas. It was a long trip, but so worth it! Being in Vegas was lots of fun. We gambled a little bit, ate some great meals, and did all the touristy things, like watch the Bellagio fountains, checked out Counts' Kustoms, and even made it to the Hoover Dam. It was a business trip though, with Tim there for Lumilor training and us attending the SEMA Show. Primarily and most importantly, we were there for Lumilor training, which could not have gone better. Tim LOVED the class and really enjoyed learning this new technology. What's not to like? This stuff is so cool! He got to practice on quite a ...

Chevrolet revealed their new 2016 Chevy Camaro Krypton at the 2015 SEMA Show this week. It is one of their new custom Gen 6 Camaros. A two-toned green and black concept car, the Camaro Krypton showcases a 'kryptonic green' paint and electroluminescent painted Chevy bowtie accents cascading down the sides. The illuminated bowties showcase one of the newest, most revolutionizing custom paint products available today. The Chevy logos are able to  light up through the electroluminescent paint, Lumilor. Lumilor is a patented Electroluminescent Coating System that allows any paint job to be wired with a real electric charge that creates...

TD Customs to Become a Certified Lumilor Lab!

It's finally time to let everyone in on the super exciting new opportunity we have coming up! TD Customs is proud to announce that we have partnered with Darkside Scientific to become a Certified Lumilor™ Lab™ able to paint with light! We are talking about Lumilor; electroluminescent paint that will light up at the flick of a switch. Tim is always looking online for new paint ideas. About a year ago, he saw a video on YouTube for this electroluminescent paint. We'd never seen anything like this before, and most of our friends hadn't either. We thought about how cool it'd be to be able to do these kinds of paint jobs, so Tim contacted ...
