Little Red Corvette: A Race Car

One of the latest paint jobs we've been working on is this 1981 Chevy Corvette. With its huge rear tires, roll cage, and now a bright red paint job, this race car is definitely an eye grabber! The car came to us in primer. The owner had done some of the body work on his own, and painted the door jambs. He did a great job getting the body work started. We just needed to fix a few cracks in the fiberglass and finish up the minor body waves down the panels, and, of course, get it painted. Here is the Before picture.. The paint color is Brilliant Red Metallic. For this race car paint job, the customer actually brought us the paint. It ...

Ambulance Refinishing & Paint

Commercial vehicle painting isn't something we do often. However, we've been asked to paint an ambulance for a local emergency vehicle distribution company. For this job, we were only doing the back box of the ambulance. This meant all the exterior walls, the roof, and all doors. A large part of any paint job is the prep work leading up to the actual paint. It takes several stages of sanding to make sure the surface is ready for the paint. Time to remove all the finish, including the gray at the top and any other ...

The cab has been repaired in certain areas, and is now in primer. The chassis has also been given a thick coat of the powerful, anti-rust application, POR-15. Once surface rust has been removed, we can apply this ...

’66 Ford Mustang Restoration Complete

The '66 Mustang restoration is ready for delivery! This classic car needed a little face lift, and got refinished back to it's factory original state. The paint color is a Seaspray blue, which is the Mustang's original color. Here is the '66 Mustang when it first came in. The doors, front bumper, and a couple other parts needed to be replaced. Other areas, such as the hood and trunk, needed to be restored. We typically choose the most cost effective option when determining whether to repair or replace a given part. There were some other random imperfections to address and minor trim accessories that needed to be replaced. After the body ...

The Light Up Motorcycle at Myrtle Beach Bike Week

Myrtle Beach Bike Week was a blast! TD Customs was there with our light up motorcycle to show the town what Lumilor is all about. Myrtle Beach Bike Week: Fall 2016 Myrtle Beach Bike Week is a fun time to bring your bike and hit the town with others who share the same passion. There is a great community of motorcyclists in town during the two bike weeks they have. Plenty of bars welcome bikers and have bands throughout the night. During the day, there are also bands and vendors set up at certain bars and the Harley-Davidson of Myrtle Beach. Murrell's Inlet has a bunch of biker bars. These bars are great because they're spaced out so you can pull ...
