TD Customs’ 2019 Calendar!
It's that time of year for a wrap up of our coolest paint jobs, restorations, or jobs from the previous year. We've been busy and are fortunate to have a lot to choose from!
For January we have the 1931 Chevy Cabriolet that we did body work on and painted in parts. When this one left our shop, it was in pieces The owner had done a lot of work on the case, and wanted to assemble it himself. He also added a black vinyl top that compliments it really well. This classic car is a beauty!

In February, we're looking at the impressive Polaris Slingshot. The owner of the Slingshot came to us from over 3 ...
Body Work & Full Paint: ’68 Plymouth Satellite
The '68 Plymouth Satellite classic restoration we just wrapped up needed overall body work and fresh, factory original paint. The body was in moderate condition, but we had to repair a lot of rust. This entails grinding out existing rust, cutting it out, and replacing the old steel with new steel. From there, it gets smoothed over and fitted perfectly into place. We also spent a good amount of time sanding the exterior body to get the panels straight.
The paint color is the original paint from 1968; a deep green color that looks almost black in the shade. It's called Dark Forest Green Metallic.

’90 Tacoma Refinished to Original Paint
One of the recent paint jobs we did was a '90 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck. The truck was being done for a soldier overseas in the military. We were able to communicate with him via phone and email, and his parents brought and picked up the truck. He's seen pictures of the finished product, and is excited to have a beautiful, redone truck to come home to.
We did a full exterior restoration and factory-original paint job on this one. There was body work that needed to be done, as well as some rust repair on the body and the frame. For the frame, we repaired the rust and applied an anti-rust undercoating to the entire underneath of the truck.

TD Customs’ 2018 Calendar
Every year we put together a calendar of our best and most favorite restorations and paint jobs we've done that year. It typically includes our bigger restorations and custom paint jobs. This year we had a lot of pictures of our work to choose from.
Take a look at this year's calendar...
~ January ~
This white 1987 Chevy Silverado came in with worn paint and rust damage, needing a full paint job. We replaced cab corners, repaired all the rust and body damage, and replaced all the glass. We also cleaned and undercoated the frame to keep rust from returning, and of course, gave it a fresh factory-original paint job back to white.

Complete Bed-Off Truck Paint Job
When you love your truck, but it needs refinishing and fresh paint, bring it to TD Customs! We do full paint jobs all the time, like this complete bed off truck paint job.
The '91 Ford Ranger came in with rust, sun fading and some other random body damage. Our job was to repair all body dents, rust, and refinish it back to factory - just how it looked back in 1991.
Complete Bed-Off Truck Paint Job
When we do full paint jobs on pickup trucks, we typically always remove the bed from the chassis. Doing this allows us to get to every part of the truck, including the back of the cab and front of the bed. We take every part off of the vehicles we ...
Camper Paint Job: El Burro
This must be the season for restoring campers, as this is the second one we've done in the last month. Spring is almost here, and it's time to get those campers looking nice for warm weather camping trips!
Here is the Burro camper before... Not too bad, just needs refinishing to bring it back to that 'just like new' look.
This travel trailer paint job was pretty straight forward. We needed to repair the cracks in the shell of the camper and get the body refinished back to its original condition. The old decals were looking a little worn, so we removed them and replaced them with new ones. (Decals, of course, have to be replaced with new ...
’79 Sierra: Rust repairs & Fresh paint
This 1979 GMC Sierra Classic pickup truck was in the shop for some rust repairs and a fresh paint job. The customer wanted to keep the truck looking original with the same paint scheme. With all the rust, it was just time to do some maintenance on the truck to get it looking new again.
There were some minor dings and waves that required body work. The truck was speckled with rust on the roof and other areas of the truck, such as the driver's side door.
Since the rust was mostly just speckled, this was the best time to get to it. Taking care of rust early on, before it has a chance to create large holes, is a good ...
