Paint that lights up with an electric charge is a completely new technology that most people are still seeing for the first time. Many people are initially in disbelief that such a product even exists.
We find ourselves answering people's questions with, "Yes, it's the paint that lights up!"
It's ok; when we first heard about Lumilor, we couldn't believe that there was an actual paint that lights up either, and we wanted to hear more too!
So yes, it is the actual paint that lights up. Not LEDS behind it, not some computerized screen. It is the paint itself that lights up with a real electric charge running through it.

A highly modified, technologically advanced car is being used to showcase the game-changing 'Racing Extinction' documentary on how climate change has impacted the state of our planet and how so many endangered species are facing mass extinction.
Directed by Academy Award Winner Louie Psihoyos, Racing Extinction warns that in 100 years, up to fifty percent of the world's species could be lost forever, and notes that five of the planet's major extinctions have all led to an increase in the Earth's carbon dioxide. SEMA. Basically, Disneyland for Car Enthusiasts
The SEMA Show is a HUGE annual automotive trade show that we were very excited to attend. Anyone who's anyone in the automotive world goes to SEMA to showcase their products and latest builds. It's not open to the public, so you have to be in the industry to attend. People come from all over the world for this show. Even before we ever realistically thought about going, Tim has said he's wanted to go. Coincidentally, we were going to be in Las Vegas for Lumilor training around the time of the show, so we made sure to get tickets.
There is so much to see at the SEMA Show. It's massive. There are four huge buildings with exhibitor booths, and a ...

Whirlwind Vegas trip!
We are home after a couple great weeks in Las Vegas. It was a long trip, but so worth it! Being in Vegas was lots of fun. We gambled a little bit, ate some great meals, and did all the touristy things, like watch the Bellagio fountains, checked out Counts' Kustoms, and even made it to the Hoover Dam. It was a business trip though, with Tim there for Lumilor training and us attending the SEMA Show.
Primarily and most importantly, we were there for Lumilor training, which could not have gone better. Tim LOVED the class and really enjoyed learning this new technology. What's not to like? This stuff is so cool! He got to practice on quite a ...

Lumilor training is going great!
It's been a great week so far! TD Customs is here in Las Vegas getting certified in electroluminescent paint application, and it couldn't be going better. There is a lot to learn. Lumilor is so cool! Seeing the light come through after applying the coating system, especially for the first time, is awesome.
Tim is absolutely loving the class. He is learning all about the product, how to create the electric charge, apply it to all different kinds of surfaces, and how it reacts with other topcoats, etc. It's a fairly complex application process, so he and the others in the class have been working on painting flat square panels and speed shapes ...
