Glitter paint job: Make it sparkle!

Our latest custom paint job involved heavy metal flake to customize a white 2015 BMW 328i – a fun glitter paint job! From far away or in the shade, the car will look white. But when you walk up to it, or especially when the sun is hitting it, the new glitter paint job looks bright and sparkly.

Rainbow metal flake on white paint

The customer had looked online at the different options for metal flake, and found a rainbow color she liked. Keep in mind that the color of the car plays a part in how the flake will look. In this case, the car is white, so the rainbow glitter flake will have a white background that makes the colored flake shimmer lightly in the sunlight. If the glitter paint job were put on top of black, it would look slightly different, and the darker background might make it stand out more.

What you should know about a glitter paint job:

There are many different kinds of metal flake. You can get glitter metal flake in all different colors and flake sizes. The size of the flake refers to the size of the actual specs of glitter. We can order some that is really fine or really thick. It all depends on the look you are going for. We can also control how heavy or thin it looks just by how many coats are used, how it is sprayed, and what color the base paint is.

If you’re interested in a glitter paint job, we will discuss how you want it to look before we begin, and get all these options answered. We’ll discuss what color metal flake will look best, what size will be best for the look you are going for, and what color base paint you’d like, if different.

This is the car we put Lamborghini doors on. It will be used when promoting the customer’s business, so they want it to look cool and get a lot of attention. I think it will! It was a rainy day when we delivered it, so unfortunately we haven’t gotten a good picture with the sun hitting it yet. Many of our customers keep in touch with us so I am sure we will get one soon.

If you are interested in a glitter metal flake paint job of your own, or another custom paint look, contact us and we can discuss what we can do for you.

Hi Alexis, we’d be happy to help. If there is no body damage (dents, dings to fix), a metal flake paint job would be around $2500. Give us a call if you’d like to get on the schedule.
