This is a pretty cool truck – a 1987 Chevy Silverado, shortbed, 4×4.

The truck came to TD Customs with rust on many of the panels and fading white paint. Our job was to repair all rust and body damage and give it a fresh coat of white paint.

We took the bed off the chassis to do complete body work repairs to the cab and the bed. We also cleaned up the chassis and sealed it with an anti-rust application. The following is the Before pic..

It sure looks a lot nicer after painting the cab and sealing the chassis, as you can see below.

The turnaround on this truck was quick. It only took a week to get all the metal work, body work and paint done. After that, it’s time to reassemble all the parts and accessories back on the truck.

Once all the parts and small accessory pieces, like headlights and door handles, etc., are all assembled again, it starts looking like a truck again. A brand new one at that. No rust, no blemishes. Just a freshly painted truck with smooth straight body lines.

This white paint is very bright. It really stands out, and looks great both in the sun and inside. Another truck is ready to hit the roads looking like it just rolled out of the factory… even though it actually did 30 years ago. It looks great!
