Airbrushed Skull Paint Job
This Harley-Davidson got a custom airbrushed skull paint job! Tim, owner and expert painter that he is, has been working on new airbrush options and these skulls are killer!
Harley-Davidson emblems, or any logo, can be recreated with vinyl and then painted in any color. This allows us to go with any color scheme you want, while keeping the logo/ emblem in tact. In this case, we went with a classic Harley-Davidson emblem.
The first step in this paint job was to lay a silver base. The green color is the vinyl lettering that will ultimately stay silver. Then, Tim airbrushed the different skulls on top of that, using various shading ...
TD Customs’ 2019 Calendar!
It's that time of year for a wrap up of our coolest paint jobs, restorations, or jobs from the previous year. We've been busy and are fortunate to have a lot to choose from!
For January we have the 1931 Chevy Cabriolet that we did body work on and painted in parts. When this one left our shop, it was in pieces The owner had done a lot of work on the case, and wanted to assemble it himself. He also added a black vinyl top that compliments it really well. This classic car is a beauty!

In February, we're looking at the impressive Polaris Slingshot. The owner of the Slingshot came to us from over 3 ...
Custom Painted SUV – Basic No Longer
A custom painted SUV isn't something you see everywhere. It all started when we decided to put a TD Customs decal on the back of my car - a white 2008 GMC Envoy Denali. I figured I might as well advertise a little while I'm driving around town. That could have been it, but we got to thinking, wouldn't it be cool if it were a little custom though? After all, custom paint jobs are what we're all about.
Initially, my idea was to simply sand off the clear and apply a new clear coat with rainbow metal flake. The same metal flake that is on Tim's shop truck. We've painted rainbow metal flake on a white car before. In the shade, it still looks basic ...
Decals offer more options for customizing your paint job
Customizing your paint job has never been easier!
Decals offer tons of different options for customizing your paint job.
At TD Customs, we are able to design something on the computer, print it on a plotter and use the vinyl cut out as a stencil or template for what you'd like painted. A popular option is painting a logo or custom image on your vehicle, motorcycle, helmet, etc. It also opens the door to many other design possibilities. A paint job can be turned into so much more with the flexibility that decals allow.

Fade Paint Job on Harley Motorcycle
Fade Paint Job on Harley-Davidson Parts
One of the recent motorcycle paint jobs we've done was on these Harley- Davidson parts. The owner went with a custom fade paint job using candy apple red. The pieces go from a lighter candy apple red on top to a darker cherry red on the bottom.
You can see how the colors go from light to dark. Both shades of the red look vivid and eye catching. The variation is visible both outside in the sun or in the shade.
How a fade paint job is done depends on the colors being used. The owner wanted it to be a subtle red fade paint job. Therefore, we used candy apple red throughout the entire paint job, ...
Two Tone SUV Paint Job
You don't see two toned SUV paint jobs everywhere. That's why they're so cool. They look custom, while still looking classy and fairly simple.
This SUV is an older model Chevy Trailblazer. It was originally all blue, and nothing out of the ordinary. For this two tone SUV paint job, we kept the blue on the bottom and painted the top silver.
Painting just the top or bottom part of a vehicle is a good way to change up the look of your vehicle on a budget. Keeping one color the same lets us not have to paint the inners & door jambs. This means a lot less work on our part because we aren't taking the doors, hood and trunk lid off the vehicl...
Paint & Body on a Classic ’71 Camaro
A 1971 Chevy Camaro was just in for a restoration and paint job. When it came in, it was white and needed some attention. There was some rust, as well as body damage that needed to be corrected. Here is what the Camaro looked like Before...
Taking care of the rust and body damage takes up a good portion of the restoration process. The length of time and amount of work needed depends on the condition. Some imperfections are easier to correct than others.
When the body work is all done, we prime the car and get it prepped for paint. The first thing we always paint is the inner panels and door jambs. We paint these pieces off the car, and ...
TD Customs’ Custom Painted Shop Truck
The TD Customs shop truck got a custom painted makeover!
Before the new paint job, it was a typical red and gray Chevy S-10 truck with some chipped paint and body flaws. When we decided to paint it, we repaired body damage and swapped doors with a parts truck we've had. This is how it looked before...
There wasn't a ton of work to do on the truck. We weren't giving it the amount of attention we'd give to customer vehicles because we wanted to get it done quickly. This one's not a show truck, but the body is straight, and it looks awesome going down the road.
We were inspired by the shop sign we recently made out of an old S-10 hood. ...
Motorcycle Dent Repair & Custom Paint
Motorcycle accidents happen. Maybe you were involved in an accident on the road, or maybe the bike just accidentally got laid down in the garage. Whether you need minor or major motorcycle dent repair, we're here to help.
About a year ago, we painted a batch of red marble motorcycle parts. The very base color was silver. We then painted the vivid red color on top, and did the marble effect to it. This involves using plastic wrap to lift some of the second coat off, revealing some of the silver.

Personalized, Custom Painted Tribute Helmet
This personalized, custom painted helmet is a gift for an employee retiring from a local law firm. His coworkers wanted to give him something special to remember them and the company by. Since he is a big motorcycle rider, they decided on a personalized motorcycle helmet.
A helmet to remember
We printed vinyl decals of the company's logo to put on the sides of the custom painted helmet. For the back, we made one that read, "In Recognition of Service to..." These two elements alone make the helmet personalized and one-of-a-kind.
We love it when customers bring us their ideas for cool paint jobs on their motorcycles. Sometimes we'll ...
