Back to Factory Original Paint Colors

pickup truck paint job TD Customs
Factory original paint colors tend to bring back a sense of nostalgia for the good old days. Many older vehicles or specific motorcycles are easily recognizable because of their distinct paint job. Video: Thought process behind electroluminescent paint

lumilor lit motorcycle
Darkside Scientific's Andy Zsinko invented Lumilor and explains his thought process behind creating an electroluminescent paint. Since Andy had custom paint experience, a friend of his wanted him to paint his motorcycle. Andy decided to do something new and different. "It's pretty easy to get hit when you're not seen," said Zsinko. "I said, well let's make it light up. Do something different, be unique. So I started dabbling with photo-luminescent paint, making it charge by sunlight, blacklight, what have you. But it was failure because you couldn't control it. ...

So much progress on the F100 Resto

truck restoration
Lots more progress has been made on the 1967 Ford F-100 truck restoration we've been working on. Aside from the smaller jobs we've gotten in and out in the last month, we have mainly been focusing on getting this restoration done. This classic restoration required a 100% disassembly job as every single part had to come off of the truck. We repaired the parts we had to work with, as well as using new parts ordered by the owner. The body work is done on these parts and they're all in primer. There has been a lot of body work done on this truck. We've been ...

Body work touchups on the Camaro

camaro paint job
The '73 Camaro came back for a visit! We love this car, from the paint job (obviously) to the motor and car itself. Very impressive ride our friend's got here. All that was needed on this job was a few body work touchups. There were a few blemishes on both of the doors of the car, so we did body work on them and got them perfectly smooth. Looking down the sides, you can tell how straight the doors are. Check out that reflection! The paint is a Victory Red paint color. It is so bright and bold. Since the body work was minimal and we only need to work on the ...
