Two Toned Motorcycle Paint Job

Motorcycle Paint Job TD Customs
Two toned motorcycle paint jobs are a great way to spice up the look of your bike while still keeping it simple. This orange and black paint job combines an awesome sparkly orange color on top with solid black on the bottom. From certain angles, the orange has all kinds of shimmer and you can spot shades of yellow and even green when the sun hits it. We painted the entire bike for this paint job, which included the tank, front fairing, side covers, hard bags, and fender. The two hard bags were all orange, while the other motorcycle parts were painted the ...

Cars are displayed both inside and outside. Saturday was a beautiful, sunny day, so it was perfect to ...

’90 Tacoma Refinished to Original Paint

TD Customs factory original truck paint job & restoration
One of the recent paint jobs we did was a '90 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck. The truck was being done for a soldier overseas in the military. We were able to communicate with him via phone and email, and his parents brought and picked up the truck. He's seen pictures of the finished product, and is excited to have a beautiful, redone truck to come home to. We did a full exterior restoration and factory-original paint job on this one. There was body work that needed to be done, as well as some rust repair on the body and the frame. For the frame, we repaired the rust ...

’64 Ford Galaxie Full Classic Restoration

64 Galaxie TD Customs full body paint
The 1964 Ford Galaxie full restoration is complete, and looks amazing. We did a lot of rust repair and body work to the entire car, and replaced a quarter panel. We got the bumpers rechromed so they look shiny and new again, had the upholstery completely redone, and of course, repainted it back to it's factory red color. The last time you saw the Galaxie, it had just been stripped down to bare metal and put in its first stage of primer. Read about the Galaxie's first stages in this '64 Ford Galaxie Progress Report. We've done a lot of metal and body work since ...

Polaris Slingshot Paint Job: Adding Flames

polaris slingshot paint job asheville Hendersonville
This Polaris Slingshot paint job came in for an updated look to the front end. Instead of the rebel flags, the owner wanted black flames to cover the front. This is the first Slingshot we've had the pleasure of working on. It's in between a motorcycle and a sport car, and is classified as a three-wheeled motorcycle. The owner came from over 3 hours away in Virginia to get the custom painted flames painted on it. He said he loves riding it through the mountains and it can go up to 150 mph! Polaris Slingshot paint job Tim carefully peeled off the rebel flag ...

Ghost Flame Paint Job on a Harley tank

motorcycle paint job ghost flames
Ghost flame paint jobs let you play around with the look of your motorcycle depending on the way the light hits it. If you like a subtle look that also pops and looks unique and eye-catching, ghost flames are a cool way to do it. In the shade or from certain angles, you typically won't see anything. And then when the light hits it, you see the flames or whatever design you have ghosted in. For this Harley-Davidson motorcycle tank, the owner went with a black base to match the rest of the bike. He was debating between painting silver stripes down the sides of the ...

1931 Chevy Cabriolet Done in Pieces

31 Cabriolet paint job TD Customs Paint & Body
We recently had a 1931 Chevrolet Cabriolet in the shop! We absolutely love keeping older classics like this on the road. We don't have our usual Before photo because this one didn't come in all put together. We're happy to work with what our customers want, so not every job we do is the same. In this case, the owner enjoys working on these old classics and puts them together himself. What he needed from us was  the expert body work and paint. For those wanting to know what a '31 Chevy Cabriolet looks like, here is a picture plucked off of Google. (Unlike other shops ...

Front End Collision Repair

collision repair Asheville body shop
While we are best known for our full paint jobs and classic restorations, we also stay busy with collision repair work. These jobs are typically in and out in just a few days. Some include repairing dents and other small areas that were damaged in the accident. Others require replacing the damaged areas with new parts and doing the body work to get it straight again. In the case of this 2011 GMC Sierra pickup truck, the front end was badly crushed and caved in. We needed to replace quite a few parts, including the hood, fender, front bumper, headlights, grille, ...

TD Customs’ 2018 Calendar

Every year we put together a calendar of our best and most favorite restorations and paint jobs we've done that year. It typically includes our bigger restorations and custom paint jobs. This year we had a lot of pictures of our work to choose from. Take a look at this year's calendar... ~ January ~ This white 1987 Chevy Silverado came in with worn paint and rust damage, needing a full paint job. We replaced cab corners, repaired all the rust and body damage, and replaced all the glass. We also cleaned and undercoated the frame to keep rust from returning, and of ...

Little Red Corvette Restoration & Paint Job

TD Customs corvette classic restoration
This cool classic car just makes you want to sing Prince's song, "Little red Corvette" - especially after seeing the After photo. This 1980 Chevy Corvette came in needing some body work and a fresh paint job. We did away with the bottom side skirts you see in these Before pictures. Instead, we fitted the car with an earlier C3 Corvette rocker panel in a satin black finish. We also replaced the fiberglass front and back bumpers. The first order of business was to start working on the areas that needed body work. This includes any waves, dents or imperfections ...
