Two Toned Motorcycle Paint Job
Two toned motorcycle paint jobs are a great way to spice up the look of your bike while still keeping it simple. This orange and black paint job combines an awesome sparkly orange color on top with solid black on the bottom. From certain angles, the orange has all kinds of shimmer and you can spot shades of yellow and even green when the sun hits it.
We painted the entire bike for this paint job, which included the tank, front fairing, side covers, hard bags, and fender.
The two hard bags were all orange, while the other motorcycle parts were painted the ...
Polaris Slingshot Paint Job: Adding Flames
This Polaris Slingshot paint job came in for an updated look to the front end. Instead of the rebel flags, the owner wanted black flames to cover the front.
This is the first Slingshot we've had the pleasure of working on. It's in between a motorcycle and a sport car, and is classified as a three-wheeled motorcycle. The owner came from over 3 hours away in Virginia to get the custom painted flames painted on it. He said he loves riding it through the mountains and it can go up to 150 mph!

Ghost Flame Paint Job on a Harley tank
Ghost flame paint jobs let you play around with the look of your motorcycle depending on the way the light hits it. If you like a subtle look that also pops and looks unique and eye-catching, ghost flames are a cool way to do it. In the shade or from certain angles, you typically won't see anything. And then when the light hits it, you see the flames or whatever design you have ghosted in.
For this Harley-Davidson motorcycle tank, the owner went with a black base to match the rest of the bike. He was debating between painting silver stripes down the sides of the ...
Full Color Change Paint Jobs
Full color change paint jobs are what we, at TD Customs, do best. Whether you want a completely custom look or prefer to restore it back to its original condition, we can help. We love when restorations get a completely new look. There's nothing better than restoring a vehicle and giving it new life through a new look.
This Jeep Wrangler came in white and looking a little worse for wear. We needed to do some rust repair, body work, a bedliner coating, some other minor issues, and of course, paint.
Originally, the owners wanted to refinish the Jeep back to a ...
#NoMoreYellow – ’64 Mustang Full Paint Job
The latest full paint job here at TD Customs has been this 1964 Ford Mustang. It came in a bright yellow color, and the owner knew she didn't want to keep the color.
The first order of business on this classic car was to strip the paint. We used a chemical paint stripping process to completely bring the car down the bare metal.
Follow the link to learn more about the chemical stripping process done on this '64 Mustang!
After the car has been brought down to bare metal, we can then get a good look at the car. We can see how the shape of the body is, and any ...
Faux Burl Wood Grain Painting
Faux burl wood grain painting is a cool technique that lets us mimic the wood grain look on the interior panels of many classic cars.
We recently recreated the wood grain look on the 1939 Chrysler Royal restoration, our family project.
Tim's sister and nephew came to the shop to help with this project. It was fun to work on such an artistic project, and they were a big help!
First, Tim painted the dash and all the trim pieces a lighter brown/ tan color for the base. Then, we used an assortment of brushes and gel wiping stain to get the desired wood effect. We ...
Red marble motorcycle paint job
Look at that gorgeous marble red paint job!
Marble effect in paint is such a cool way to add some depth into your paint job. It gives you a unique custom paint job that you won't see anywhere else.
This custom silver and red marble paint job was done for a Harley Davidson Ultra Classic motorcycle. This one has quite a few parts to it. There was a tank, a fairing, saddlebags, a tail bag, and side covers. The paint booth was full the day we painted this bike!
This marble paint job took a silver base with red on top. The owner primarily wanted to see the bright ...
Tis the season for bike parts!
Riding season is almost here! We get just as excited to finally take our motorcycle out for a cruise when this time of year rolls around. The sun is out, and it's time for some wind therapy!
We always see a jump in motorcycle paint jobs right before Spring, and this year is no different. In the last month, we've done quite a few motorcycle paint jobs. Some are brought in for full paint jobs, others just need their existing paint jobs touched up.
One recent motorcycle paint job was a candy purple paint job for an '86 Honda Shadow 1100.
Another motorcycle paint ...
2008 Toyota Camry Makeover
It's amazing how a new body kit and a custom paint job will transform your once-average car!
I was extra, extra excited to get this job in the shop because, as some of you may know, it is MY car!
This 2008 Toyota Camry started out with a stock light green paint color. Let's just say it did not represent how cool I really am... Just kidding, but it did need an updated look. Here is what the ol' lady looked like before...
There was some body work to start with. I may have dinged up a few areas on the car over the years (hey, it happens!), which we still ...
Sure, we’ll refinish a shotgun
There are a lot of auto body repair shops in and around Asheville that like to stick to just the basics. Replacing parts, pulling out dents, etc.
At TD Customs, we love custom paint jobs that are slightly outside the box. It's a chance to do something different and creative, which is always fun. So, why not include gun restoration on the list?
It's not your average auto body shop job, but we are happy to offer custom paint services on a number of unique items.
Here is what the gun refinishing job looked like Before & After...
In the Before picture, ...
